The first day of school is Thursday, September 4th. The school day begins at 8:45 am, but please arrive early. Dismissal is at 3:15 pm, Monday through Friday. See you soon!
Health, Education and Research Occupations High School
Students will gain a rigorous liberal arts education emphasizing literacy across the curriculum, accelerated math and science, work-based learning, and a supported entry to college and work.
Ninth grade students will take a class in career explorations, and apply to enter one of our career pathway programs at the end of the year. Students in grades 10–12 will take specialized classes and certifications in either health care, nonprofit management or education.

Dear HERO Students and Families,
Welcome to the 2024-25 school year! I can’t wait to welcome students back on Thursday, September 5th—the first day of school for a year that promises to be full of new opportunities for learning, growth and accomplishment.
HERO High (Health, Education, and Research Occupations High School) is an Early College and Career High School serving a diverse student population in grades 9-14.
